With a heavy roll out of Iron Man 3 collectibles to coincide with the new film’s release, the War Machine 1/6 Scale rendition lives up previous Hot Toys MMS Diecast Series collectibles with near lifelike replication. The figure is constructed from die-cast material intended to reflect a more realistic metal covering similar to the movie’s actual War Machine Mark II. Standing at 30 cm tall, the movie-accurate War Machine boasts full LED lighting functions throughout, a rotating machine gun as well as black, silver and gunmetal detailing. It also includes three interchangeable palms and over 36 points of articulation.

This miniature reproduction of the instant camera measures approximately 2.5″ wide x 2.25″ tall x 3″ deep and is immediately unmistakeable thanks to its faithful color scheme, spot-on details and signature Polaroid rainbow stripe. Constructed out of 99 total pieces, the design even includes an “action” feature whereby a photo tile can be ejected by pushing the camera’s rear panel. Medicom Toy‘s most recent collaboration sources an unlikely inspiration with Japanese mega messaging app LINE making the transition from in-app “stickers” to full-on 3D toys. LINE has taken much of Japan and select parts of the world by storm for its comprehensive messaging services and innovative model of monetization which relies heavily on the purchase of in-app additions such as stickers and credits. The capsule of toys includes some of LINE’s most popular characters including BROWN (the emotionless bear) and his counterpart CONY (the rabbit), as well as MOON and JAMES. The first drop of 100% Bearbricks released on April 30 while a 400% BROWN will also release but ship in September.

Hong Kong’s Hot Toys have unveiled the first figure in their MMS Diecast Series in anticipation of the upcoming Iron Man 3. Known as the Iron Patriot, the diecast figure features a light-up suit at the eyes and palms while the face beneath the helmet is based on Don Cheadle’s character in the summer blockbuster.
