Officine Panerai showed up loaded for bear as usual with a bit of something for everyone. In particular, the new Luminor 422 will have broad appeal among die-hard collectors and casual fans alike, as it is a variation on the theme established by their star from last year’s show, the Luminor 372. The 422 takes the 372 as a foundation and adds a running second hand at 9 o’clock, a power reserve indicator on the back and replaces the vintage-inspired Plexiglas crystal with a modern sapphire crystal for increased scratch resistance.

They also debuted the 438, otherwise known as the “Tuttonero”, which houses Panerai’s exclusive P.9001/B automatic movement in a high-tech ceramic case. Been there, done that you say? Well, for the first time they’re also offering a matching ceramic bracelet, and the effect is sinister, to say the least.

Those NEC artisans have been at it again, shaving even more from its smartphone profiles. It's arrived at the Medias ES N-05D, which measures in at a ridiculous 6.7mm, and making the Droid Razr choke on its salad in the process. Like its predecessor, the ES N-01, the Android phone will be ready to play nice with your compatible G-Shock, alongside a waterproof shell, HD screen and eight megapixel camera. Arriving on NTT DoCoMo, you can expect those exotic 'standard' features that Japanese customers love, including a 1seg TV tuner and NFC wallet functionality. As is the tradition for new phones in the east, the phone will launch in several colors: black, white and (predictably) pink.

The original 1971 Braun travel alarm clocks were designed by Dieter Rams and Deitrich Lubs and the Braun reissues released last year are faithful to the originals. Delicious in and of itself because if something is going to be barking at me to get out of bed it better be pretty. But this Braun alarm is voice-controlled so you can shut it off by yelping (or clapping) in its general direction. That satisfaction alone is worth $40.

If you happen to find yourself squaring off against a foosball savant, this table lets you adjust the size of the goal openings, so you can narrow yours to increase the challenge for your competitor and level the playing field. It also includes an automatic point tracking system, with motion sensors detecting when a goal is scored.

The $700 table's cherry wood finish is also rather lovely, and it's boasted to have a "special lining" around the inside of the pitch that gives more 'oomph' to the ball as it bounces off the walls.

Yamaha decided to eschew a separate subwoofer, instead using a built-in subwoofer, which gives the speaker system a more streamlined look. The YAS-101 also has a very helpful "IR flasher" on the back, so it will pass remote signals through to your TV if the sound bar is blocking the TV's remote sensor. Sound quality is surprisingly strong for TV and movies, although don't expect miracles with two-channel music. Our major criticism is that the YAS-101's connectivity options are bare-bones, but that's not as much of an issue if you use your TV to switch between devices.

With its reasonable price, simple design with built-in subwoofer, and innovative remote-control workaround, the Yamaha YAS-101 is one of the top budget sound bars available.
