It’s been a while since the Nike LeBron 9 Low ‘Liverpool’ made headlines, but that absence is because it was undergoing a few changes. Inspired by Liverpool FC, which LeBron is a minority owner of, the LeBron 9 Low ‘Liverpool’ featured the club’s colors as well as some significant details on the heel badge and the outsole. These latest images of the LeBrons reveal a simplified version that doesn’t make any direct ties to the club’s championship trophies and logo and is likely the final draft that will hit stores. Growing up in northern California, it seems Stefan Janoski developed a taste for the region’s rich red wines. We say that having seen the utterly novel ‘Vino Rosso’ design that made each pair a 1 of 1 with unique ring stains, and now this new pair whose color could have been derived from dipping the whole thing in a barrel of Merlot. Kris Van Assche, eponymous creative director of his own fashion line, recently displayed focused on the modern day T-shirt. Presenting various interpretations of the menswear staple, Van Assche included a number of hybrid approaches next to several more wearable understated styles.
