The French manufacturer BRM in cooperation with Gulf Racing have revealed the limited edition BRM GUlf Raching V12-44. The new watch will be distinguished by its black PVD aluminum dial and the distinct Gulf Racing logo and racing stripes. There will be only 100 units built, each priced at $8,450. The company is also offering a V6-44 alternative also limited to 1000 units, but with a price of $4,350.
The V12-44 watch will be offered Gulf blue with orange while dark blue accents adorn the dial and are carried over to the rich handmade leather strap. The BRM’s signature buckle clasp is made from 12 meticulous components of machined aluminum.
The V12 uses heavily-modified ETA Valjoux 7753 in a man-sized 44mm polished stainless steel case. Unlike 99 percent of watch cases that are stamped, the case of the V12 – referencing a piston with grooved sides – is machined from a solid metal billet and requires 300 operations per case alone!
