BMW 3.0CSL

Way back in 1972, the BMW 3.0CSL was made in order to comply with homologation standards for European Touring Car Championship racing. Production on this elongated 3.0CSL was short and ended in 1973 with dramatic body modifications including roof mounted spoiler as well as a batmobile-eque rear spoiler. BMW honors this classic at the Concorso d’Eleganza Vila d’Este with its 3.0 CSL Hommage. Exterior design is bold, sharing similar elements of the heritage model such sculpted front and rear spoilers that blend right into the hood and wheel wells. While aluminum was material of choice of racing vehicles in the 70s, carbon fiber reigns supreme now and the 3.0CSL has more than its fair share of it. Now we agree that BMW purists may chafe at the Hommage, particularly its Golf yellow color but without question, it is all BMW.

The Boxtrolls x Nike Roshe Run "Trollstrikes"

Last Fall Nike released an extremely limited run of Roshe Run “Trollstrikes” in adult and youth sizes to be sold by way of online auction. An original design by Tinker Hatfield, the silhouette takes on a whimsical feel, with the upper being an amalgamation of distressed leather and burlap overlay resting on a cobblestone-printed midsole and a waffle-patterned outsole. The details are equally imaginative, such as the twine heel loop and laces, iridescent “sewer-green” heel panels, distressed Nike Swoosh logo, cardboard tongue label, steampunk lace locks and cheese-print sockliners. This is not Nike’s first movie-footwear collaboration, with a notable example being the Coraline Dunk which has since become a valuable collector’s item.

Boasting 230 horsepower in the 2.0 TFSI base form and 310 horsepower for the TTS version (which allows a 0-60mph time of 4.9 seconds), this year’s models also come with dual-clutch transmission. However, the main feature of the TT and TTS Roadster is arguably its convertible soft top, which opens and closes in 10 seconds, and comes in the three colors of black, titanium grey and jive.

Lomography has released a new Lomo LC-A MINITAR-1 Art Lens that takes the optics from the original LC-A to create a unique and fun new pancake lens that definitely deserves a spot in your camera bag.

The glass in the lens is multicoated to reduce any reflections and brings a nice bit of contrast and color to the images. Focal length is a versatile 32mm and you get a f/2.8 aperture that will help you get great images in low light settings. The lenses come in silver or black and features the Leica M Mount. The lens can also be attached to any lens mount with a compatible adapter.

Nike returned with two subtle renditions of Andre Agassi‘s signature throwback. Here we find the Air Tech Challenge II executed in both black and burgundy iterations, both of which are executed in tasteful reptilian-scaled suede and supple leather through the upper. Both sneakers also rest atop a solid black midsole, adding a moodiness to this layered silhouette.

Jordan Brand‘s premium Air Jordan Shine model received another iteration to its luxury silhouette. This time we find the shoe slathered in a pure, white leather for the upper along with the sophisticated weave pattern on the sides. To accompany the uppers, the sneaker sits atop an all-white sole, which even incorporates white stitching for further details. Roland Sands Custom Indian "Track Chief"

Motorcycle tuner Roland Sands Design premieres its latest custom Indian bike dubbed the “Track Chief.” Inspired by drag bikes, RSD opted for a board tracker silhouette, adding the single-sided element and all its detailing, whilst retaining the spirit of the tank shape, girder fork and frame. In removing any unnecessary parts, the bike’s weight was cut in half with upgrades that include a new wiring system where 90% of the connectors were removed for a thin, purpose-built loom, an internal twist throttle, a remotely located fly-by-wire throttle housing behind the front number plate, a titanium exhaust, a titanium tank and much more. “Part board tracker, part dragster and part cafe racer, this single-sided rigid mash up is as much about the art of the machine as the function.”
