BMW presents the new M5 Pure Metal Silver Limited Edition, also known as Competition Edition in Europe. Only 50 units of the Pure Metal Silver Limited Edition will be made, and the high-performance sedan is a U.S.-only affair. Built upon a M5 with the Competition Package, the special edition offers more power and a multi-layer paint job as an additional highlight. The sedan boasts up to 600 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque, which is 25 hp and 16 lb.-ft. of torque more than a M5 fitted with the package. The added power stems from an increased boost pressure and “targeted modifications.” It is worth pointing out that the car’s chrome-like look does not come cheap. The Pure Metal Silver paint job includes BMW’s most expensive paint option, $10,000 in BMW Individual’s Catalog. The car will be available this August for the price of $130,900.
