Lance Mountain has made a four-decade long skateboarding career out of writing his own rules. The Pasadena-born skater took pool riding to a new technical level throughout the ‘80s, and he’s delivering on his patented style across multiple generations.
His Nike SB Blazer Mid Men's Skateboarding Shoe retools the iconic hoops profile for the skate session, adding lightweight impact protection and a durable combination upper. Lance's new collection brings the early ‘80s SoCal aesthetic out of the archives with three weathered SB Blazers and the apparel to match.
During the '80s, the iconic Blazer silhouette was hijacked from basketball courts by the world of skate. Meanwhile, Lance Mountain was rapidly ascending the ranks of the same sport during the legendary SoCal boom. In the years since, Mountain has grown into a renowned and prolific artist working in photography, stencils and paint. This special edition of the Zoom Blazer Mid features a Mountain-designed English rose on the heel inspired by his English father, as well as a Lance “Nike SB” stencil logo on the sockliner.
