Sasha Selipanov, the designer behind both the Bugatti Chiron and the Koenigsegg CC850, complacency is a dirty word. The revered sports car maker has again returned to the artist’s studio, this time conceptualising an extraordinary new hypercar that fuses heritage design with modern technology. Meet Nilu, a self-titled hypercar that promises to revive the analogue driving experience.
Designed as the antidote to the industry’s electric obsession, the new Nilu hypercar embraces tradition in a manner that we haven’t seen for some time. Admittedly, the vehicle’s 1,000 horsepower output isn’t likely to raise eyebrows when compared to some existing models on the market, but the analogue details and minimalistic design certainly will. It is a hypercar steeped in the core design philosophy of giving the driver the least possible distraction.
The steering wheel is compact and devoid of any controls whatsoever while there are not even drive modes. Instead, you get a wonderful 7-speed gated manual transmission, and everything else is manually controlled, including the steering wheel, pedal box, headrest, door mirrors and more. Peer closer and there is a whiff of Pagani with the cold-touch billet machined controls instead of the usual screens or touch surfaces.

Porsche is preparing to reveal a rally-bred version of its 911 sports car at the Los Angeles auto show next week.
In a nod to the victorious 1984 Porsche team for the Paris–Dakar Rally, the company is calling its all-wheel-drive sports car the 911 Dakar.
In addition to the all-wheel-drive system, the 911 Dakar sports more ground clearance than the standard 911 as well as meatier all-terrain tires.

Koenigsegg CC850 Pays 1,385HP Homage to Record-Shattering CC8S
In celebration of Christian von Koenigsegg’s 50th birthday, only 50 CC850s will be produced. All of which will be powered by the same twin-turbo 5.0-litre V8 capable of producing 1385 hp engine from the Jesko. One of the fastest revving engines ever made, it’s so well-balanced it doesn’t even require a flywheel.
As with the iconic Koenigsegg ONE:1 released in 2014, the CC850 also achieves a 1:1 power to weight ratio with 1385 hp and a 1385 kg curb weight. It also has 1385 Nm of torque.

Successor to the venerated Vanquish, the DBS nameplate (introduced in 1967) once again adorns Aston’s flagship coupe. The second part of the super grand tourer (GT)’s name is equally steeped in history. It was Touring of Milan that styled the iconic DB4 in 1958 and utilized its super light (or “Superleggera”) body construction methods.
The 2019 Aston Martin DBS Superleggera is antiquated only in name, however. Its striking sheet metal hides advanced aerodynamics, a torque-vectoring drivetrain, and a forced-induction powertrain to rival any contemporary supercar. The latest DBS ($308,081) faces off against Ferrari’s 812 Superfast ($315,000) and, less directly, McLaren’s 720S ($288,845) as an ultra-exclusive blend of power and comfort. Limited to 150 vehicles, Land Rover is celebrating its 70th anniversary by reissuing the Defender Works V8. Land Rover Classics will produce the collector's edition machines, though the power and speed will be a true reflection of present day capabilities. The 5.0-liter naturally-aspirated petrol V8 powertrain will grant the beast a boost from 0-60mph in 5.6 seconds, and a top speed of 106mph. Among other attributes, according to the brand, the high-performance vehicle will feature uprated brakes and handling kit, exclusive 18-inch diamond-turned Sawtooth alloy wheels and 265/65 R18 all-terrain tires—and an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission with sport mode. All of this in either a 90 or 110 wheelbase.

McLaren’s know-how with lightweight, aerodynamic, ferocious supercars is undeniable, and the 720S is proof. A 710-hp twin-turbo 4.0-liter V-8 drives the rear wheels through a seven-speed automatic.
